About
I know what it is like to be good at the job and still not have the phone ring.
My name is Dustin Myers. I am forty, a father of two, and I run this business myself out of Cleveland, Ohio.
I did not come to this from marketing. I started swinging hammers in construction at fourteen and became a contractor at seventeen. My twenties included plenty of mistakes I am not proud of. What those years did give me is a fairly unsentimental view of work: you either did the job properly or you did not, and no amount of talking about it changed which one it was.
The mistake I made for a long time was working for other people rather than building something of my own. I learned the trade the hard way — doing things wrong first, then being retaught properly by people who actually knew what they were doing. That is an uncomfortable way to learn anything, and it is the reason I have very little patience for people who make simple things sound complicated.
Where the digital side came from
About four or five years ago I started experimenting with AI tools. I built several applications for different industries over that time, and never launched any of them. Then I went back to construction and tried going out on my own, and the work I expected to follow did not follow. I was good at the job. Nobody knew I existed.
The whole time, everything I was learning was coming from these tools, and I kept telling myself that you cannot use them for everything. Eventually the obvious thing landed: they were not replacing what I knew how to do. They were making me better at the part I had always been bad at — being visible, being clear, and following up properly.
That is what started this business.
Why that matters to you
Because I have been on your side of the conversation. I have been the person who is good at the actual work, watching businesses that are not as good get the jobs, and not understanding why. It is not a skills problem and it is not a pricing problem. It is usually that they were easier to find, easier to understand, and quicker to reply.
I also know what it feels like to be sold something you do not understand by somebody who is counting on you not understanding it. I am not going to do that to you. If the fix for your business is free and takes you an afternoon, I will tell you that, and I will lose the sale.
How I work
I run this on my own. That means when you send a message it comes to me, and the person who looks at your business is the person who does the work. It also means I take on a limited number of things at once, and I would rather tell you I am not the right fit than take work I cannot do properly.
Everything I build goes into your accounts, in your name. You should be able to sack me and lose nothing but my time. If a business only works while its supplier is involved, that is not a system — that is a hostage situation, and there is far too much of it in this industry.
Where I work
I am based in Cleveland and most of my work is around Greater Cleveland — Brook Park, Parma, Berea, Middleburg Heights, Strongsville and North Olmsted. That is where I know the market and where being local genuinely helps.
The work itself does not require me to be in the room, so I take clients further out as well. If you are outside the area and think this is what you need, get in touch anyway.
See what I would see.
The Presence Check is the same first pass I do on any business. Run it on yours — it is free, it takes about three minutes, and you owe me nothing afterwards.
